GRAHAM WATSON PRAISES SOUTH WEST MEP OVER TORY COMMENTS

Graham Watson has today praised the courage of South West Conservative MEP Caroline Jackson, after she spoke out against her party.

Ms. Jackson voiced her opposition to a party move to the political fringes - which could damage Britain's interests - in an article in European Voice.

Speaking earlier, Mr. Watson said:

"Caroline Jackson MEP has the interests of Britain at heart, which is why she is on the verge of

quitting her party."
