Lib Dem Renewable Energy Initiative Approved by new Tory Council

In an amazing u-turn the new cabinet, whose members (by their own admission) had been anti-wind energy, agreed to go ahead with the Somerset Wind Energy initiative at this morning's Cabinet meeting.

Leader of the opposition, Councillor Jill Shortland, said:

"Communities will benefit from renewable energy and we can now move on to the next steps and the engagement of our communities."
